Focusing on revitalising the public space and enabling the return of the Gender. Providing both social housing and family apartments, Genderwaard makes city living attractive and accessible to everyone.

INTEGRATING INTO THE SURROUNDING
One of the main ideas behind the designs was to make a connection between Strijp-S and the surrounding neighbourhoods by making a nice flow between the two areas and therefore integrating the project. This is done by ensuring that building volumes go up from the lower neighbourhoods to the highest parts of Strijp-S next to the train tracks. The stepwise volumes reinforce this flow of building height.
